This is Me

Shindo held the first solo exhibition in her 11 years as a photographer activity.
The exhibition was held at “S PARK”, which is located on the grounds of INN THE PARK.
As a method of expression for this work, Shindo took a self-portrait of herself without makeup, and layered paint on top of the photo to express depth from 2-D (heart expressions) to 3-D (visible expressions)
The exhibition featured A4-sized photographs of the same works, which was available for children who visited the exhibition to draw freely using paints and other materials to experience the same techniques used by Shindo in expressing her artwork.
In the past exhibitions, the idea was "to extend the own feelings of looking at the photographs and bringing it back”, but Shindo changed it to hands-on exhibition, allowing visitors to view the photos, play with the space, discover it,and touch it.

写真家活動11年目にして今回初の個展を行う。
会場は公園と宿泊施設が一体化となった“泊まれる公園”「INN THE PARK」の敷地内にある「S PARK (エスパーク)」にて行われる。
今回の作品の表現方法として新道は自ら素っぴんをセルフポートレートし、その写真の上から絵具を重ねることにより2次元(心の表情)から3次元(見えている表情)の奥行きを表現。
展示では作品と同じ写真を A4 にしたものが準備されており、訪れた子ども達が絵具などを使い自由に描くことで新道が作品を表現した手法と同じ体験ができる仕組み。
これまでの展示では写真を見て、感じてもらいその延長にその時生まれた想いを各々が持ち帰る。
だったわけだが、今回は写真を見てその空間で遊んだり、発見したり、触れて見たりと体験型で開催。
